About Maths Coach

Hi, my name is Stavros Manos. Having worked in the financial markets for the best part of 15 years I decided it was time for a new challenge and I decided to retrain and become a maths teacher. I have thoroughly enjoyed the last ten years as a maths teacher and have worked in both a state school as well as an independent school. I have been at my current school for over 6 years where I have become the Head of Department. My strengths are my patience, empathy and understanding. I strongly believe that having the right teacher, especially in maths, can make all the difference in a students’ confidence and understanding. I have an excellent track record in the ‘value-add’ I have with students so they can maximise their potential, whether that is achieving a Grade 4 pass up to a Grade 9. Every student is different and it’s about unlocking their potential. I can cover all GCSE exam boards but specialise in iGCSE & GCSE Edexcel.
